What is HOPE Network?

The mission of HOPE Network is to promote community integration of individuals with cognitive and/or physical challenges in southwestern Pennsylvania through programs, services, and leisure activities that support return to a healthy, productive lifestyle.  HOPE Network is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization supported through community fundraising activities, private donations, and grants.  HOPE Network is comprised of special services and programs including Healthsports, Research and Education.

Healthsports offers sports, fitness, and recreation opportunities for persons with disabilities to be active in life.  Pediatric and adult populations are served in a manner that integrates the able-bodied family and friends into the activity.  Programs are held throughout the western Pennsylvania area thereby easing access to the event for the numerous participants while also promoting community education regarding abilities of the participants.  Some of the activities include water skiing, snow skiing, self-defense, golf, track, musical theater arts, fishing, tennis, quad rugby, and basketball.

Everyone is welcome!  To become a participant or a volunteer with the Healthsports Program call (412) 826-2771 or email at hsports@city-net.com.  More information, a calendar of upcoming events, a newsletter, and tips on safe exercise are only a phone call away.
